Fire Investigations and the First Responder

June 17, 2019 @ 13:00 - 14:45

This class is not designed to have you become a fire investigator. It is an awareness class designed to change your attitude and make you aware of your role and responsibility in preserving the fire scene, spoliation of evidence, and laws provided to protect you. You will become aware of the ramifications and impact your operation has on the overall investigation process, future fires, product recalls, and customer service. You will become aware of the process conducted by the Fire Marshals and other law enforcement personnel. We will discuss spoliation of evidence and civil liabilities. Utilizing this information will lead to better fire scene preservation, better origin and cause investigation, and increase customer service.
