How the fire service needs to be knowledgeable, engaged, prepared (informed/educated) in today’s political arena. We can no longer just sit back and think we will be consulted or have perceived or real power as our forefathers did. We must be out there, out front being seen and heard to be successful and effective. Tips and lessons learned to help you prepare for today’s arena will be discussed along with helping you develop a plan for participating in your arena.
