Today’s volunteer emergency services leaders are challenged with meeting the financial demands of sustaining current operations and funding the high costs of equipment and apparatus replacement. Each year, there are grant opportunities to help solve these financial problems. You just need to learn the rules for writing a winning proposal. Come prepared to develop your grant writing skills in this interactive workshop that will challenge you to write a better proposal.

1. Understand the importance of financial planning to meet mission objectives
2. Learn the eligibility and requirements for the “Big 3” FEMA firefighter grant programs (AFG, SAFER, FP&S)
3. Demystify the grant application process through breaking down the application process
4. Learn how to develop grant narrative proposals that help direct successful grant applications
