This 90-minute didactic presentation is intended for members of Volunteer Fire/ EMS/ Rescue station who are interested in developing a program for babysitting or enhance an existing program. No limit on number of participants.
Specifics:
Have you received a request from the community for a child and babysitting safety course? Are you looking to expand your community risk reduction programming? This is the course for you. This course will help the participant gather information and list supplies needed to implement and conduct child and babysitting safety programs at their station. It will include examples of lessons, activities, and topics to be included in the programs. It will include brief examples of several programs currently available that can easily be implanted at your station with the right person. This course is designed for those who wish to create or start a program in their area and are struggling with a starting point.

Discuss the need for child and babysitting safety programs in your area
Discuss types of programs currently offered
Review programs implemented at the instructors station
List supplies needed for conducting a child and babysitting safety program
